Internationally acclaimed Irish singer Daniel O’Donnell is ready to release his 40th album, Moon Over Ireland through DPTV in the U.S. on March 15.
O’Donnell has become a household name across North America over the last 9 years through his vast exposure on Public Television. Since Daniel O’Donnell signed to DPTV Media in 2003 to launch his first CD, DVD and VHS title, The Daniel O’Donnell Show, DPTV Media has released 55 Daniel O’Donnell CD and DVD products throughout North America. O’Donnell has sold over 10 million units worldwide. He is a staple on Billboard’s music charts with his new releases consistently appearing on the Top World Music Album chart - including the #1 spot.
Throughout his 20-year career, Queen Elizabeth awarded an honorary MBE to O’Donnell for his “service to the music industry”, as well as two nominations in the U.S. for CMA’s Global Country Artist Award. I just found out from Daniel’s North American tour producer that the show in Nashville cannot be relocated to another venue on June 24. The box office will be refunding everyone. They’re looking into rescheduling at another time.

Daniel’s North American concert producer is still working on relocating the June 24th concert & taping to another Nashville venue. There are other shows also in the same situation, so it’s not something that is resolved yet. I will hopefully have more information soon, but there just isn’t any definite news yet to report. I also don’t have any information on the earlier concert, which was supposed to take place on June 22nd.
The Opry Land Resort is in the process of doing refunds for package holders. They have already contacted groups, and some groups have already refunded their customers. The hotel will apparently start calling individual package holders this week with refunds (according to Daniel’s concert producer).
I don’t have anything yet to tell individual ticket holders (those who just bought tickets rather than packages)… the producer won’t know about logistics until they figure out where & when the rescheduled concert will take place.
I will definitely let you know as I hear any new developments.
